Our next stop on this journey through different styles of decor is minimalism. It is a style that emerged after World War II and simplicity is its main feature. The disorder must be excluded. Minimalism may be totally modern and retro touches can have. It is a manifestation of a mindset which is then reflected in a particular space.
The new approach of minimalism maintains order but is more relaxed. Each element of the home must meet a specific function. Large collections of art pieces are not necessary. Be selective and choose just one or two decorative elements in each environment. Figure for geometric and asymmetrical.
The minimalist style joins clean lines, basic geometric shapes and neutral colors. The aim is to achieve a balanced and harmonious environment. The absence of textiles is one of the main aspects of the minimalist style decor. If these come to appear is because they are necessary. The sockets are linear, are used to cover the wall and have no design purpose.
The colors used are blue green, the colors and there is great toasted peredominancia white color. The most important material is wood (either on floors or furniture). Other more rustic materials such as blocks, cement and stone also characterize this trend of decoration.
